Restaurant Week Starts January 22 - 28th
Here is an overview of the restaurants located in downtown Geneva, IL who are participating in Restaurant Week and what they are offering. Geneva, IL, though small in population, makes up for size with charm, quaintness, and diverse dining options---you will find everything to satisfy your taste buds and your culinary wants! Enjoy the specialty stores, butcher shops, and many different every meals from traditional to uniquely exotic--all will satisfy your gourmet cravings!
During Restaurant Week only, Monday, Jan. 22 through Sunday, Jan. 28, "would be food critics" will be able to dine at participating restaurants that will offer lunch and dinner menus for either $9, $19, $29, or $39. Some are per person, some are for two and some are options are only available during Geneva Restaurant Week.

Two New Geneva IL Restaurants Spotlighted:
1. Craft Urban:
You will enjoy the interesting "mural-like" exterior that really grabs your attention as you enter. Upon entering, you will walk in to a good-sized bar with an open concept into the kitchen. Then as you can see below, an ample dinning room with large, beautiful windows and gorgeous art work, brick walls, stylish lighting, bare wood tables, and comfy leather chairs. Craft Urban really does give you a Chicago-type vibe in the suburbs. The drink menu is both outstanding and diverse. Numerous local to small upcoming craft beers, customized cocktails, and a good wine selection allow you to sample many of your choices. The main dinner menu is not extensive, but offers some amazing choices. I tried one of the bread and spread appetizers, and the pepper jam selection was extremely tasty. A few healthy hot or cold salads are also available. The compact entree menu offers fabulous meat and seafood options, from short ribs to Wisconsin rainbow trout.
This is a nice addition to the growing restaurant scene in Geneva, and I highly recommend trying this spot. Enjoy the drink selection, fantastic spreads, and choose from one of the fabulous entree options.

2. Livia Italian Eatery:
The canopied entrance with stairs leading down into the restaurant, heightens your anticipation for a fabulous dining experience. Walking into a smaller but chic bar, Livia offers a diverse drink menu including specialty cocktails, variety of wine options, and numerous craft beers. The menu has small plates such as meatball sliders to barbecued oysters. Those appetizers can be accompanied by numerous salad option--my personal favorite was the kale + farro chicken salad. My favorite appetizer was the numerous options of fresh baked toast, numerous meats, cheeses, and jams that were offered.
The main dining room has the look of a trendy Chicago restaurant, seating is a little close, but the general vibe is very cozy. The dinner menu offers so many delicious choices. Below you can see one of the gourmet flat breads--this is the Butcher Block flatbread, tomato sauce, mozzarella, smoked bacon, pepperoni, speck, roasted onions, and chili flakes. Fantastic flavor and crispy fresh crust--can upgrade to the cauliflower crust too. Livia also offers fresh pasta dishes such as their classic take on spaghetti meatballs to four cheese stuffed pasta shells. The larger entrees included steak, chops, chicken, and seafood. Livia is a great addition to the ever growing trendy Geneva restaurant scene. I recommend trying Livia if you are looking for fantastic drinks, a ton of small plates, amazing flat breads, and a large offering of delicious meat and seafood.
